KEDMA ISRAEL
Our mission is to support underprivileged populations through creative social action projects run by overseas student volunteers. KEREN BETH PROTEA
BETH PROTEA, Israel's premiere retirement facility, was established by the ex-Southern African community in Israel 16 years ago as a non-profit organization to provide former Southern African senior citizens with a facility where they could live in dignity. KEREN BETH PROTEA was established with the prime purpose of raising funds to financially assist those who qualify towards their stay in retirement facilities in Israel. The MICHA Multidisciplinary Center for Children with Hearing Loss, Tel-Aviv and Central Israel, cares annually for approximately 300 deaf and hard of hearing babies and children from varied backgrounds, religions, ethnicities and socio-economic levels. The philosophy behind MICHA is to enable a child with hearing loss to develop spoken communication and to understand speech through early intervention during the critical stages of infancy and early childhood, while involving parents and the community in the rehabilitation process. Rape Crisis Centers in Israel
In 1990, with sexual violence in Israeli society on the rise, the nine individual Rape Crisis Centers in Israel joined forces to create the Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel. The Rape Crisis Centers work at the individual and local levels - providing essential, crisis-oriented assistance to victims of sexual assault and those who are close to them. While the Association, as an umbrella agent for social change, advocates on the national level, with the primary purpose of combating all aspects of sexual violence.
